Bookings Now Open for TMA Europe's Second London Round Table

TMA Europe's groundbreaking series of financial services Round Table debates continues with a second event in London in the new year.

Bookings are now being taken for the London Round Table on Thursday, 28 January, which will see senior figures from different disciplines within the sector coming together for a joint discussion on key banking trends and policy.

It follows the first very successful Round Table debate held in London earlier this year which saw four expert speakers discussing how London can continue to build opportunities in post-AQR Europe.

There have also been well-received Round Tables in Milan, Madrid, and Frankfurt during the first year of the series.

At all events, hand-picked speakers give a short speech to share their insight from the perspective of their own discipline. Each speaker then hosts a table, with the debate continuing over dinner.

The next London Round Table will focus on The Single Resolution Mechanism in Europe, with topics due to be debated including will AQR lead to resolutions, investment opportunities pre- and post-resolution, and what will the regulator do to make resolutions work for value creation and stability.

It will take place at Lutyens Private Members Club on Fleet Street starting at 6:30pm with networking drinks.

There are two categories, one for a small company whose revenue at the onset of the turnaround was less than 100 million Euros, and one for a large company whose revenue at the onset of the turnaround was more than 100 million Euros.

Submissions for the awards are assessed on the main actions taken to bring about around the turnaround, the issues that arose and how they were overcome, as well as the eventual outcome.

The winners of the awards will be announced at TMA Europe's pre conference banquet being held this year at the Grand Hotel Plaza in Rome, Italy, on 9  June 2016.

The European Association of Certified Turnaround Professionals (EACTP) has appointed Mark Blayney as its new Finance Director.

I am really looking forward to being able to play a part in the development of the association at such a pivotal time as it prepares to launch its education programme."

EACTP President Tyrone Courtman said Mark would be a great addition to the EACTP's Executive Board and also thanked David for his work as FD over the last three years.

Tyrone, who will be succeeded as president by Jukka-Pekka Joensuu in January, said: "David has done a sterling job setting up our financial procedures and keeping our finances in shape over the last three years.
