Greetings!

Thanks for your continued interest in Running And Reading at Rye Public Library!  We slipped a run in between rain showers last night.  In next week's session we'll have a discussion of Chapters 7-13 (pgs 47-84) of Born To Run.  Click here for our full schedule

Our run for Tuesday Sept. 11 will once again feature the wide and gentle trails in the Rye Town Forest (and maybe a little single track... just saying...)

About Born to Run and Chris McDougall
Click here for the Author's website and other links for plenty of info, interviews, etc.  We'll start our discussion of Chapters 1-6 at our Sept. 4 session.

Here are the questions to consider as you read chapters 7-14 for Sept. 11:

We have learned in a roundabout way about Tarahumara culture. What are your impressions?

What impressions does BTR give of the ultra-running world? Have you ventured there?

McDougall describes competition as a concept. How does this factor into the story so far?
Check out the site for the Sun. Oct. 7 race we can train to run.  I'd suggest registering now if you plan to take part.

Hope you can make next week's session.  We'll talk about chapters 7-13 then hit the trails!  You can always touch base on the wiki as well. Feel free to contact me with questions and suggestions.  Remember, this is a big experiment that can only benefit from your input!

Cheers,
