NEWS & SERVICES
Village Ordinance requires pet owners to remove any pet waste immediately after deposit on public or private property not owned or possessed by the pet owner.  Please do your part to help keep Saukville clean and healthy for all to enjoy and clean up after your pet.   Remember, leaving this waste (even in plastic bags) is a form of litter.

Vandalism to Village Property
The Village has experienced ongoing vandalism to its municipal properties from time to time over the years.  This includes park facilities, well houses, water towers, streets, signs, trees, etc.  Summer months see an increase in this activity.  The cost of vandalism can be expensive and is passed on to taxpayers.  If you know of, or observe vandalism taking place, please call the Saukville Police Dept. (262-284-9423) or the Ozaukee Co. Sherrif's Dept. (262-284-7172) immediately to report an incident.

Branch Chipping - Ord. #700 - Rules
The chipper will tour the Village every Monday throughout the season, holiday weeks excluded.

Lawn Maintenance Lawn Mower
Chapter 151 of the Municipal Code provides for standards of property maintenance which prohibits unsightly growth and foliage of any nature.  Routine maintenance of lawns, yards, and property foliage is  the responsibility of every property owner. Please help keep Saukville beautiful; cut your lawns and maintain all property foliage on a regular basis.

Rain Garden Grant
The Ozaukee County Land and Water Management received a grant to help residents in the Milwaukee River Watershed area plant rain gardens.  A rain garden is a shallow depression, planted with native flowers, which catches rain water from downspouts and rooftops.  The water is allowed to soak into the ground instead of flowing over the landscape and potentially sending excess fertilizer and other pollutants into the Milwaukee River.  The grant assists property owners by reimbursing 70% of the establishment costs.  The maximum reimbursement is $750 per rain garden.  If you live in the Milwaukee River Watershed and are interested in the grant program, please call the Ozaukee County Land and Water Management at (262) 284-8313.
VOTER INFORMATION

Vote-Your Vote Counts

PHOTO/VOTER ID REQUIRED IN 2016

On March 23, 2015, the U.S. Supreme Court cleared the way for enforcement of Wisconsin's 2011 voter ID law.  Photo ID is now required for all elections in Wisconsin.

Please be prepared with your Photo ID for the 2016 elections.  Election Inspectors will be required through legislative action to ask for Voter Photo ID, along with a voter's signature to receive a ballot.

As typical with past elections for Wisconsin State Voter Registration applications, voters are still required to provide proof of residence when registering to vote.  A list of acceptable proof of residence documents are listed on the Government Accountability Board's website at http://www.gab.wi.gov/elections-voting/photo-id .

Upcoming Election Dates for 2016:

2016 Partisan Primary - August 9, 2016

2016 Fall General Election - November 8, 2016
