On the morning of March 23, 2015, the U.S. Supreme Court cleared the way for enforcement of Wisconsin's 2011 voter ID law.  Photo ID is now required for all elections in Wisconsin.

Please be prepared with your Photo ID for the 2016 elections. Election Inspectors will be required through legislative action to ask for Voter Photo ID, along with a voter's signature to receive a ballot.

As typical with past elections for Wisconsin State Voter Registration applications, voters are still required to provide proof of residence when registering to vote.  A list of acceptable proof of residence documents are listed on the Government Accountability Board's website at http://www.gab.wi.gov/elections-voting/photo-id .
