NATIONAL PREPAREDNESS MONTH
September is National Preparedness Month. Wisconsin Emergency Management's ReadyWisconsin campaign says now is the perfect time to talk to everyone about getting ready for an emergency or disaster.  "The most important step you can take today is to make a plan," said Wisconsin Emergency Management Administrator Brian Satula. "As part of National Preparedness Month, we're encouraging families to put together a plan that includes information on where to go during an emergency and how to communicate with loved ones if separated in a crisis."  Don't Wait - Communicate!

VOTER ID REQUIREMENTS

Vote-Ballot Box

Be Prepared for Election Photo/Voter ID Implementation in 2016!

On the morning of March 23, 2015, the U.S. Supreme Court cleared the way for enforcement of Wisconsin's 2011 voter ID law.  The implementation of Photo ID will be activated at the next statewide election for the Village of Saukville;  Photo ID will be required for the Spring Primary on February 16, 2016.

Please be prepared with your Photo ID for the 2016 elections. Election Inspectors will be required through legislative action to ask for Voter Photo ID, along with a voter's signature to receive a ballot.

As typical with past elections for Wisconsin State Voter Registration applications, voters are still required to provide proof of residence when registering to vote.  A list of acceptable proof of residence documents are listed on the Government Accountability Board's website at http://www.gab.wi.gov/elections-voting/photo-id .

Polls Open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m.  Election dates for 2016 are as follows:

2016 Spring Primary - February 16, 2016 (if necessary)

2016 Spring Election and Presidential Preference Vote - April 5, 2016

2016 Partisan Primary - August 9, 2016

2016 Fall General Election - November 8, 2016
