Annual Halloween Party - Friday, October 24th, 6:15 p.m.

It's time for the Annual Oscar Grady Public Library's Halloween Party!  Jane Swiggum's show, Black Light Camp, is sure to tickle the funny bone of all ages.  Music and stories come alive using neon puppets and other costumed characters that perform in the dark using black lights.  Treats will be provided afterwards.  Doors open at 6:00 p.m.  Families welcome!  Please note that the room will be completely dark except for the performer's props. Wear your costume and join us for some spooktacular Halloween fun!

Road Construction
Construction baricade Road Construction on the 100 - 200 Blocks of Colonial Parkway and on Linden Street Continues
Please use caution when traveling through the construction areas.  Colonial Parkway is open to local traffic only.  Mail will continue to be delivered to residents in the construction zones.

Part-Time Employment Opportunity
Oscar Grady Library: 

The Oscar Grady Public Library is in need of a positive, innovative individual with a strong work ethic and love for books to serve as a part-time Library Assistant. Job duties include circulation procedures, such as checking in/out materials, registering patrons for new library cards, inter-library loan tasks, assisting patrons in reference, reader's advisory questions, and assisting patrons with internet or other programs and subscription databases on the public access computers.  This position is approximately 8 hours per week plus hours every third Saturday, as part of a rotation. Hours are two evenings a week from 4:00 - 8:00 PM.   Some coursework or experience in the library field is a plus but is not required.

Utility Bills 
Water/Sewer Utility Bills have been mailed to residents.  Payment must be received at Village Hall by 5:00 p.m. Monday, October 27th in order to avoid a late penalty.  Also, in order to update our contact information, please call Village Hall (284-9423) or email vlee@village.saukville.wi.us with your current telephone number and emails.

Hydrant Flushing
The Saukville Water Department will be flushing hydrants throughout the Village between 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. October 20th through 23rd.  There may be some discoloration in your water during this process. This is iron and is not harmful. We recommend that you do not do laundry if your water is discolored.  If you forget and your clothes have a reddish appearance, DO NOT DRY THE CLOTHES; rather rewash in cold water to remove the discoloration. Running the tap for a short period of time will clear the lines after the flushing is complete.

Curbside Branch Chipping - Final Monday - November 3rd.  
Compost Site - Final Saturday - November 15th. Site is open from 900 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Saturdays only. 
Curbside Leaf Collection - October 1st thru November 28th - as time and weather permit.

In-Person Absentee Voting for the November 4th General Election runs Monday, October 20th thru Friday, October 31st at Village Hall - Office Hours  are Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The Saukville Milwaukee River Flood Gauge is temporarily out of service.  Therefore, the link on our website home page will not reflect accurate information.  We are working to get this problem corrected as soon as possible.

  • "SKPD Tips"  - an app for Android and iPhone devices that enables the public to send anonymous tips to the Saukville police and lets the police respond back, creating a two way anonymous "chat".   The app can be downloaded online at the Google Play Store, iTunes App Store, or by visiting the Police Department's website at http://www.village.saukville.wi.us/Police/
  • Texting - text the word SKPD and the tip to 847411.   
  • Web Tips - Submit through the Saukville Police Department's website at http://www.village.saukville.wi.us/Police/ or the "CitizenObserver" online site at http://www.citizenobserver.com/cov6/app/webTipForm.html?id=10873. Your information is 100% anonymous.  CitizenObserver's technology removes all identifying information before the police department see's it so there's no way to identify the sender.
