Prepare for Severe Cold Temperatures
Wisconsin needs to be ready for a dangerous blast of arctic air that will be moving into the state Sunday night and hovering over through Tuesday. The system will drop temperatures and wind chills to levels not seen since 1996, causing potentially life threatening conditions.

Forecast - The National Weather Service says cold air will begin pouring into Wisconsin Saturday night and into Sunday. The coldest stretch will be Sunday night through Tuesday. Meteorologists are predicting lows Sunday night of -10 to -25 with wind chills at -30 to -40. Monday, highs will reach only -5 to -15 with wind chills remaining in the -30 to -40 danger zone.  More information on how to stay safe in these dangerously low  temperatures can be found on the READY Wisconsin website.
Christmas Tree Chipping

Curbside Christmas Tree Chipping -

Mondays January 13th & 20th

Remove all decorations, wire, hardware, lights, etc. from tree - no cloth, paper, or plastic cover bags. Place trees curbside no sooner than 24 hours prior to the day of chipping and no later than 7:00 a.m. that day.  Make sure trees are not buried in snow.  The chipper will make only one pass per street side per chipping event.  Disposal of trees prior to or after the scheduled dates will be the homeowner's responsibility.  Do not put trees out for regular trash pick-up - they will not be picked-up.

Snow Removal Reminders
Fire Hydrant Safety - Please clear snow away from hydrants located near your property.  This helps the Fire Dept. and the Water Utility manage the water supply system and quickly respond to emergencies.

Trash & Recycle Carts - With the heavy snow falls lately, try to place your carts within your driveway approach.  Keeping obstacles away from the curb enables the snow plows to clear the roadways more efficiently.

For more snow removal information, click on the "As the Snow Falls" link in the Quick Links box on the left.
