Yard Maintenance

The Village of Saukville code of ordinances requires "routine maintenance of lawns, yards, and property foliage" by all property owners.  Chapter 151 of the Municipal Code provides for standards of property maintenance which prohibits unsightly growth and foliage of any nature.

No ParkingVillage Ordinance also prohibits parking of vehicles, trailers, boats, etc. on the grass.  Parking of such vehicles must be on an approved driveway or parking area.  Please refer to Section 205-68 of the Municipal Code for complete ordinance information.

Please be respectful of your neighbors and keep your property and yard cut, clean, and clutter-free.

ConservationThe Village Water and Sewer usage fees are based solely on the water meter reading in your home.  Therefore it is important to be careful as to how long and how often you use your outside water spigots for watering plants and lawns throughout the summer months.

Also, if your water bill seems unusually high, you may have a silent leak.
Toilets are the single biggest water consumer accounting for 40-45% of all household use.  Leaks in the toilet can double or even triple overall water consumption by wasting hundreds of gallons of water per month. Often these leaks are silent and go undetected until you receive your next bill.  You can check for most toilet leaks by adding a small amount of food coloring to the tank.  If the coloring enters the tiolet bowl within 30 minutes, you need to make repairs to the interior mechanisms or contact a plumber for repairs.

Water and Sewer Rate information as well as payment information can be found on our website.
