Tornado Season Approaches

Get your family and home ready for a tornado with the official Tornado App from the American Red Cross.

The app puts everything you need to know to prepare for a tornado in the palm of your hand. It also sounds an alarm when NOAA issues a tornado warning for your location, even when the app is closed.

Learn more about the Tornado App and download it now.

Cross Connection Program Resumes

faucetThe Village's Cross Connection Inspection Program has resumed for 2013.  A cross connection is a direct or potential connection between any part of the public water supply system and a source of contamination or pollution, ie: garden hose, dish washer, toilets, pools, lawn sprinklers.

In order to reduce overall costs for compliance with DNR Regulation NR810.15, the Village of Saukville Water Utility has contracted with Hydro Designs, Inc. (HDI) of New Berlin to assist in managing our Cross Connection Control Program.  HDI will again be sending postal notices and begin to perform initial inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings throughout the Village to detect actual and potential cross connections and make recommendations for the installation of backflow prevention devices where necessary.  This will help ensure that contaminated or polluted water cannot backflow into clean drinking water.  There is no cost for the inspection and each inspection takes less than 45 minutes on average for a business or less than 20 minutes for a home inspection.
