Other Ways to Treat Yourself or Someone Else

My own website, www.susancarlson.com is where you'll find things related to learning and expanding on my quilting technique. Click on the accompanying links for more info.

Quilt Retreats: Held here in Harpswell, Maine several times a year, these retreats are intimate (limit of 12 students per session), and feature great food, a visit to my studio, chair massage, a tour of the area. However, none of these things will distract you from the two or four days of fun but intensive work you'll do on a new quilt or existing piece. So bring your luscious fabrics, bags of scraps and prepare to be challenged!

Book: Serendipity Quilts explores and explains my own technique of fabric collage. In five step-by-step how-to's, I lead you through simple quilts that can be completed in a day or two, through larger, complex pieces that will really stretch your creativity. (As I said before, this book is now out of print and thus getting harder and harder to find.)

Patterns: Own the book already or have taken a class and are looking for a new project to try? My patterns are available either as paper prints or as PDFs emailed directly to you (please allow 24 hours to process). From fish to bugs to geckos and sea turtles, let me give you an easy start in creating your next fabric collage masterpiece.

It's now been 5 years that I've been offering quilting retreats in my hometown of Harpswell, Maine. All retreats are held at the historic Harpswell Inn at Lookout Point. I offer participants a small class size (maximum 12) allowing more one-on-one instruction, have class in view of and easy walking distance to the beautiful Maine coastline, provide delicious and healthy meals, complementary chair massage, and great camaraderie with fellow students.
