The Given Land is a novel written by my husband, which was inspired by our family's trip to New Zealand. When predators invade their island home, the bird heroes of the Given Land are forced to fight for their existence. Geared to young adult readers (aka our son, Sam), it will appeal to adults as well. Website Redesign Complete
www.susancarlson.com
Fresh but familiar. Hopefully that's the feeling you'll get from my new website design. You ought to feel at home but like it's got a new coat of paint and you've moved the furniture around.
The changes are more extensive than redecorating though. I had a number of goals when revamping my website:
-
Make the front page simpler and easier to read.
-
Make the splash page more dramatic by opening on one of my quilts.
-
Redo the gallery section so that my quilts are better displayed and bigger so visitors can see more of the details. (I've also added notes to some of the quilts.)
-
Make the navigation simpler and cleaner.
Thanks to my hubby and webmaster, Tom, for taking on all of these goals and, to my mind, achieving them.
So, have a look around and see what's new, especially the gallery of my quilts.
