NEW Call for Art!

The Albuquerque Public Art Program and the Albuquerque Arts Board is pleased to announce a new call for art in the Ladera Heights neighborhood.  

$60,000 has been allocated for this project. The deadline to apply is August 13, 2014.  

Artists must apply via Cafe.org. Read the prospectus for all the information. Apply now

Public Meeting About Iconic Artwork in Downtown Albuquerque

A public meeting is planned for Wednesday, July 16th, from 5:30-6:30, at the KiMo Theatre to share information and gather feedback about plans to locate "iconic" artwork in Downtown Albuquerque. Please join us to get up-to-date information and to discuss this exciting idea.
NM Lawyers for the Arts Workshop


The Albuquerque Public Art Program and the Albuquerque Museum are pleased to host New Mexico Lawyers for the Arts on Thursday, July 17th, from 6-8 pm for a free presentation on ethical gallery practices and how to address ethical dilemmas that arise inside the gallery-artist relationship. This is the second of three free workshops scheduled for the third Thursday of the summer months - June, July and August - where information about art law, copyright and censorship will be presented. Mini Maker Faire Coming to Albuquerque!

The Albuquerque Mini Maker Faire is being held at the Albuquerque Balloon Museum on September 13th and 14th, and event organizers are still looking for more makers! They encourage exhibits that are interactive and highlight the process of making things. There is no fee for standard Maker Exhibits! The application deadline is July 31st.
