Join members of the Albuquerque Arts Board, Mayor Richard J. Berry and members of Fire Station 2 as we dedicate Albuquerque's newest public artwork, "Fire Rocket." Artist Peter Reiquam will be there to help induct this modern take on a classic rocket for the entrance of Fire Station 2. The event takes place at 10:00am at 2401 Alumni Dr., just off Gibson, east of I-25. It's free and open to the public so bring your friends and family! |

Warehouse 508, 516 ARTS, and Albuquerque's Public Art Program present the Gateway to Downtown mural, "Quantum Bridge," designed by internationally recognized artist Aaron Noble. Meet the artists and hear them discuss the meaning behind the mural and a vision for the future of the Heart of Our City. The event begins at 2:00pm at Warehouse 508, 508 1st St NW. Free and open to the public, so bring your friends and family! Heart of the City, a youth-focused project led by 516 Arts, invites us to explore the strengths and weaknesses of downtown and envision our future. Exhibition, projects and events are scheduled for Spring 2014. |
