Thanks for Supporting The Albuquerque Public Art Urban Enhancement Program!
Thanks to everyone who came out on Thursday, October 10th to celebrate 35 years of Public Art and 30 years of the Urban Enhancement Trust Fund. It was a great night at the KiMo Theatre, with performances from an eclectic group of locals, including Chatter, singer Kahlila Hughes, a poem by Poet Laureate Hakim Bellamy and Tricklock Theatre performers, as well as a melody from the Silk Road, performed by Sadaqah. An exhibition of various public artworks and a timeline of events remains on display in the KiMo Theatre Gallery. Take some time to check it out if you missed the event, the exhibition is up until Thursday, November 14th, 2013.

Call for Mural Artists at Skarsgard Farm!
Skarsgard Farms, one of the local farms here in Albuquerque, is looking for artists to apply for a mural project at their members' garden and event space. There is a $5,000 budget and applications must be received by November 15, 2013. Questions may be directed to wesley@skarsgardfarms.com |

Call for Artists for the Johnny Cash Trail in Folsom, CA!

The City of Folsom is Requesting Artists' Qualifications (RFQ) to create a fitting tribute to the legacy of Johnny Cash by creating a world class public art installation featuring visual and audio art and interpretative information about the famed singer's life and connection to Folsom. The venue for this artwork is the 2.5 mile Johnny Cash Trail traversing Folsom State Prison Property linking Folsom Lake and the Historic District of Folsom.
A mandatory site visit and walking tour on November 14, 2013, 10:00 a.m. is required for all artists teams interested in applying. Requested email RSVP for attendance cabraham@folsom.ca.us. Application Deadline is January 30, 2014, 4:45 p.m. Read the full Call for all the information. |
