Sundowner Art Sign Call for Light-based Artwork!
The Albuquerque Arts Board and the Sundowner Art Sign Selection Committee have initiated a 1% for Art project open to artists residing in the United States. The project intent is to commission a light-based (neon or LED or other) artwork for the Sundowner Mixed-Use Housing Development. The artwork will be incorporated into or onto the old Sundowner Motel sign structure that sits along Central Ave. (see image above). This is NOT a call for signage design, but a call for a light-based ARTWORK. Deadline for proposals is Friday, November 1, 2013 at 4:00PM Mountain Time.
