Final Convention Center Mosaic Dedication Ceremony, June 22nd, 2013!
The dedication ceremony for the final section of the Convention Center mosaic is planned for Saturday, June 22nd at 5:00pm. This 13 year project is a collaboration between The Public Art Program, Harwood Art Center, the Mayor's Art Summer Institute, lead artist Cassandra Reid and numerous local youth. This event is not to be missed! Mark your calendars now to come celebrate this amazing public artwork!

Dedication Ceremony for Ed Haddaway's "Monument"!

Join us as we welcome "Monument" into the Public Art Collection! This is the second sculpture completed for the "City-wide Sculpture Project". Created by local artist Ed Haddaway, this sculpture sits in the roundabout at the intersection of Indian School Rd and the Menaul Extension, right behind the Pueblo Indian Cultural Center. The dedication ceremony will take place in the 4-H Park, directly north of the roundabout, on July 12th at 4:00pm. This event is free and open to the public, bring your friends and family!

Call for Art from 'Long Leash on Life'

Local health food and supply store for dogs and cats, Long Leash on Life, is asking artists to help them brighten up their exterior with some art (see above photo)! They are open to a variety of styles and mediums, from murals to free-standing sculptures, as long as it incorporates dog and/or cat imagery and is as vandal-proof as possible. An official budget has not been set but artists are encouraged to contact Norm directly, at (505)299-8800, for questions and ideas and to offer proposals.
