Blue Trees Project Coming to Albuquerque!
The Blue Tree Project is an international art event coming to Albuquerque through the efforts of Tree New Mexico and the Public Art Program. The Australian artist, Konstantin Dimopoulos, is coming to our city for a celebration of Earth Day and the unsung role of trees in our community.
As the seventh city in the United States to host The Blue Tree Project, Albuquerque is proud to be on the leading edge of this engaging art installation.
During the week of April 12th-17th, Dimopoulos will engage with students and community members through lectures and discussions. The week will culminate in the painting of trees at several sites (the 4th Street Mall, Tingley Beach, and Grisham Park.) Volunteers will work under the direction of the artist to create the installation.
