On Monday, November 12th, Veteran's Day observed, the Albuquerque and Bernalillo County Arts Boards and Public Art Programs will be dedicating "Infinitus" by Susan Wink. "Infinitus" is a small functional bench designed as a tribute to Gordon Church, Albuquerque Public Art Program Manager from 1984 - 2004, Vietnam Veteran, and design contributor to the New Mexico Veteran's Memorial Park. Gordon passed away in 2006.
The ceremony will take place at the New Mexico Veteran's Memorial Park Visitor's Center and Museum
, 1100 Louisiana Blvd. SE at 1:30pm.

Creative Economy forum Breakfast and Community Meeting on Wednesday, 11/14/12!  Please join the Albuquerque Cultural Services Department and Creative Albuquerque in welcoming Randy Cohen, Vice President of Research and Policy at Americans for the Arts.
He will be speaking about the creative economy and what it means for Albuquerque and the nation at a breakfast forum and a community meeting on Wednesday, November 14.
The breakfast forum will be held at 7:30am at Hotel Albuquerque. The cost is $23, please call 883-2505 to reserve a spot.
The Arts Community Meeting is FREE and will be held at the Historic KiMo Theatre at 2:00pm. |
