Dia de los Muertos Art Show at the
South Broadway Cultural Center

The annual Dia de los Muertos Art Show will be on display at the South Broadway Cultural Center until Nov. 17th, 2012. Please make sure you go see the amazing artwork.

The above poster, created with a woodcut print purchased for the Albuquerque Public Art Collection, is on sale at the South Broadway Cultural Center!

 

Last Chance to See the ISEA Public Art
Project Proposals

 

 

Make sure you get yourself to the KiMo Theatre Gallery before the electronic public art proposals are taken down.  

Public Art Staff will be on hand to answer any questions during the First Friday Arts Crawl on November 2nd from 5pm to 8pm. The proposals will come down on Friday, November 9th. 

Regular KiMo Gallery hours are

  • Wednesday-Saturday 11:00, a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 
Dedication Ceremony for the Gordon Church Memorial Bench, "Infinitus", on Monday, 11/12/12

"Infinitus" by Susan Wink
 

On Monday, November 12th, Veteran's Day observed, the Albuquerque and Bernalillo County Arts Boards and Public Art Programs will be dedicating "Infinitus" by Susan Wink. "Infinitus" is a small functional bench designed as a tribute to Gordon Church, Albuquerque Public Art Program Manager from 1984 - 2004, Vietnam Veteran, and design contributor to the New Mexico Veteran's Memorial Park. Gordon passed away in 2006. 

 

The ceremony will take place at the New Mexico Veteran's Memorial Park Visitor's Center and Museum, 1100 Louisiana Blvd. SE at 1:30pm.
