Greetings!

"Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer".....  Well, we've had some hazy and crazy days so far but hope to get some lazy days before this summer is too quickly over!  It's great having our kids home for the summer and we are enjoying getting caught up on the family time in the evenings that we don't get enough of during the school year.  Meetings, sports schedules and just plain old LIFE tend to get in the way all too much these days.  It's nice to have time "off" from routine!

We wish you and your families some lazy days ahead!  See some fun ideas throughout our newsletter.

Happy Summer!

CEDARCREST AUTO CARE

When the Cedarcrest Auto Care was opening at a location previously used as an auto care center, they wanted signage to make it clear that it was a new place with new services and ownership.  One effective way to accomplish this is with new and different signage.  After getting the NAPA Brand on the building, they realized that there was no monument sign to catch people's attention and advertise services and specials.

They contacted Signs & More to solve this problem.  Together a monument sign was agreed upon and sign permit approval was obtained.  Because it is a monument in Paulding County, Sealed Professional Engineer Drawings were required.  These include wind force calculations, foundation sizes, etc.

After approval, Signs & More went to work on the sign.  It includes a lightbox at the top that was provided by NAPA, a panface with logo and changeable letters below and stones to match the building at the bottom.  Because it had to be placed in the parking lot to meet the setback requirements, bollards are protecting it from cars.

Go to Cedarcrest Auto Care for great service.  The folks at Cedarcrest Auto have been in business as Kennesaw Auto Center for almost 25 years.  They bring this know-how - how to fix vehicles and how to treat people to the new location.

The quality ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certified technicians at Cedarcrest Auto Care employ today's latest automotive technology.  Their brand new, state-of-art facility, from their comfortable waiting room with free beverages & Wi-Fi, to their top of the line repair facility and technology, allows Cedarcrest Auto Care to go the extra mile to ensure that your vehicle service experience is as comfortable as possible. Cedarcrest Auto Care is a certified NAPA Auto Care center. That means that they are able to provide the benefits of an established national entity while maintaining the personal touch of a family owned business.

Cedarcrest Auto is located at the Crossroads in Dallas -  8653 Hiram Acworth Hwy, Dallas, GA 30157.  They can be reached at 770-917-9005.  Call today to make an appointment.  You will not be disappointed!

And when you are ready to get signs for your new building or location, call SIGNS & MORE 770-383-8808 for the help you need.

CHANNEL LETTER SIGNS

Channel letters are the most used method of overhead signs for store front businesses. The lettering is very versatile, easily applied and seen at a distance. Many companies without a particular logo use the channel letters to simply indicate what their business does, such as Hair Dresser or Shoe Repair.

Reverse or Back Lighted Channel Letters

Reverse Lighted Channel Letters

The channel letter can be very diverse in how it is used. For example, virtually any font can be replicated with channel letters. The size of lettering is only determined by local code and developer allowances. The rule of thumb for sizing the letters for visibility is 1" tall per 30' of visibility. So, if you want your sign to be seen at a 300' distance the lettering should be at least 10" tall.

LED CHANNEL LETTERS

Budget Rent-A-Car LED Channel Letters

There are four methods for designing channel letters:

1) Front Lit: This allows the light to shine through the face of the letter with the use of a translucent acrylic face. Due to their efficiency and low maintenance, LED lights are currently used most frequently to light the letters.

2) Reverse: A Reverse channel letter has a face that is opaque, usually painted aluminum, and a back side enclosed with a clear polycarbonate so the light comes only out the back of the letter creating a halo effect.

3) Open Faced: An Open Faced letter is when the aluminum body has the face open to the public and is lighted with an exposed neon lamp. This creates a nice glow inside the channel and is colored according to the neon lamp color. Sometimes these letters will have a clear acrylic face.

4) Front/Back Lit: A channel letter that is both lit on the front and back. This is where the face is a translucent acrylic and the back is a clear polycarbonate. This allows the halo effect while the front of the sign is lit up as well.

The different methods of designing channel letters allow great room for creativity. Signs & More, Inc (770-383-8808) will create the channel lettering your business deserves.
