Students Attend Yale Rep Production
The Humanities and British Literature classes were in the front row on Thursday for Yale Rep's production of Cymbeline. Shakespeare's late and rarely performed play is a genre mash-up, combining notes of comedy, tragedy, history, and romance. The play showcases many of the Bard's most famous elements, including star-crossed lovers, mistaken and assumed identities, scheming villains, and happy reunions. Students enjoyed the impressive set, imaginative casting, and impassioned acting. The classes stayed for an informative talk-back with the actors.
Pasta Dinner Thank You
A big "Thank You!" to everyone who attended the ND Drama Club's 1st Annual Pasta Dinner last week. A great time was had by all! Special thanks go to our student and parents volunteers. Students worked as hosts, servers, and performers, while parents kept the flow of food and drink smooth and even. About 200 people shared in this delicious meal, and the Drama Club is grateful for their support.  Any questions about the Spring Musical, Into the Woods, can be sent to Mr. St.Onge at jstonge@notredame.org.

Into the Woods - Coming Soon!
Notre Dame's long-standing tradition of spring musicals continues this year with the production of Into the Woods.  The musical is a modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales that follows the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel-all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his wife, their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the witch who has put a curse on them.

This year's play will take place on Friday, May 6 (8:00 pm) and Saturday,
May 7 (1:00 pm and 8:00 pm). Tickets for the show, which will take place at the Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts at Sacred Heart University, are now on sale.

Alumni Association Update
Be A Part of ND's 60th Anniversary
Notre Dame High School was founded in 1955 by the Most Reverend Lawrence Sheehan. In 1955, construction of Notre Dame High School began on Park Avenue in Bridgeport. In 1956, the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur began teaching Notre Dame's first class of girls at Our Lady of the Assumption School in Fairfield while the high school was being built. Finally, in September of 1957, 1,000 students (freshmen and sophomores, boys and girls) walked through the doors of Notre Dame High School on Park Avenue.

To commemorate the 60th anniversary of Notre Dame (the oldest high school in the Diocese of Bridgeport) we are planning a year-long celebration of events which will begin in September, 2016 and run through September, 2017. We are looking for alumni, alumni parents, current parents, faculty (past and present), and friends of Notre Dame to help us plan this extraordinary event in our school's history.

If you would like to be a part of the celebration, please contact Theresa Marzik at tmarzik@notredame.org.
