Prom Dress Sale
At the request of our students, Notre Dame will be hosting a prom and semi-formal dress sale on Friday, April 8th from 6:00 - 9:00pm. This is a great opportunity for girls to buy and sell gently used/new dresses. Anyone who is interested in attending must RSVP for the event at https://promdresssale.splashthat.com/.  We are asking that parents attend the event with their daughter due to the amount of most dresses being over $100.

Selling - Dresses should be clean and free of any stains or tears and must be brought to school in a plastic or garment bag long enough to cover the entire dress. Shorter, semi-formal dresses such as homecoming dresses are acceptable to bring as well and you may bring as many dresses to sell as you like.

Procedure for selling a dress:
2.    On April 8th, drop off your dress any time between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm at the Gym entrance.  Parent volunteers will collect and tag them for sale.
3.    Dresses will be organized and displayed in the Gym.
4.    If your dress is sold, collect your money before you leave from one of the parent volunteers at the Cashier table.
5.    Unsold dresses must be removed by 9:15pm Friday night or they will be donated.

Buying - You will be able to try dresses on in the Girl's Locker Room. Please bring shoes to help with length choice. All sales are final.

The cost to attend the event (buying or selling) is $5 per student and will benefit the Parent Association for future events. Parents are admitted free of charge.  We need parents to assist with this event for check in/check out, locker room attendants and security.  Please see the RSVP link to volunteer.

Please help spread the word about this great new event!  Any additional questions can be directed to ndparentassociation@gmail.comAll proceeds from entry fees and any donated dresses will go back to the Parent Association.

Alumni Association Update
Be A Part of ND's 60th Anniversary
Notre Dame High School was founded in 1955 by the Most Reverend LawrenceSheehan. In 1955, construction of Notre Dame High School began on Park Avenue in Bridgeport. In 1956, the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur began teaching Notre Dame's first class of girls at Our Lady of the Assumption School in Fairfield while the high school was being built. Finally, in September of 1957, 1,000 students (freshmen and sophomores, boys and girls) walked through the doors of Notre Dame High School on Park Avenue.

To commemorate the 60th anniversary of Notre Dame (the oldest high school in the Diocese of Bridgeport) we are planning a year-long celebration of events which will begin in September, 2016 and run through September, 2017. We are looking for alumni, alumni parents, current parents, faculty (past and present), and friends of Notre Dame to help us plan this extraordinary event in our school's history.

If you would like to be a part of the celebration, please contact Theresa Marzik at tmarzik@notredame.org.
