Activities Fair
On Tuesday, freshmen and sophomores had the opportunity to attend the annual Activities Fair. All clubs and activities were represented, as were several sports teams. Students were encouraged to sign up to join at least one club and should listen to the daily announcements for information regarding upcoming club meetings.

Spanish Classes Create Collages
Mrs. Guarino's
Spanish I class designed posters showing why the Spanish language and culture is relevant to learn as a second language. Students used everything they could: Spanish words, places, food, fashion, celebrities, important facts; everything that embodies their own perception of what is "Spanish". Each poster demonstrated the importance and influence the Spanish language and culture have in our community and the world.
Campus Ministry News...
Campus Ministry Needs Chaperones!
Throughout the year, ND's Campus Ministry program runs a variety of programs off-site, both during the school day and after school. An example of one of the largest of these programs is Community Service Day. We need to update our list of chaperons and drivers, so, if you are Virtus-trained and willing to help us out, please email jmedoff@notredame.org or jstonge@notredame.org with your name, cell phone number, and the number of seats you have in your main vehicle. Thanks for your help and God Bless!

Students Donate to Go4theGoal
Campus Ministry sponsored ND's participation in Go4theGoal Foundation's 4th Annual National Dress 4 Pediatric Cancer Day on Friday. Students and faculty paid $1 to dress down and joined the efforts of schools throughout the country to raise money for pediatric cancer care and research.
Important Information for Parents...

2014 Walk-A-Thon News

The annual Notre Dame Walk-A-Thon will take place on
Friday, October 24.  The Walk-A-Thon is a spirit-filled day that includes a three mile walk around the ND campus as well as field day activities for our students.
This is Notre Dame's sole student fundraiser and our goal as an ND community is to raise $25,000.  With the money raised from the past two Walk-A-Thons, we were able to purchase new lockers for our juniors and seniors.  The money raised this is year will help us continue with our locker replacement project.

Please help your son/daughter reach their fundraising goal of $100 by asking friends and family for their support.  Of course, if you can't raise $100, any amount raised is greatly appreciated.  Don't forget, if you work for a company that participates in a matching gift program, forms can be sent to school. Fundraising credit will be given for the money donated and matched. Letters with more information including donation forms will be sent home to every family. To make donations easier this year, we have included an online donation page.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Theresa Marzik at tmarzik@notredame.org or 203-372-6521.  Thank you in advance for your support of our student Walk-A-Thon.

Walk-A-Thon T'Shirts
Walk-A-Thon T'Shirts will be on sale from October 1 - October 10.  T'shirts are only $10.  Order forms are outside Mrs. Marzik's office, Room 316, or in the main office.  Get your class T'shirt now and show that Lancer Spirit!

Food Donations Needed for Walk-a-Thon
The Parent Association will again be providing food for this year's student Walk-A-Thon.  Our menu for this year's event will include: bacon, egg & cheese sandwiches, chili, hot chocolate, pizza, candy, chips, etc.  We are hoping that many of the items needed will be donated. If you would like to make a donation to help off-set the cost of our refreshments, please see the wish list below.  Monetary donations will be greatly appreciated, as well.  Please contact Theresa Marzik or Kathy Stefanatos if you would like to make a donation. Our goal is to make 100% profit on our concession stand -- with your help, we can!

We are looking for boxes of the following: (the large boxes with individual candies sold at Costco/BJ's) Starburst, Swedish Fish, M&Ms (Peanut and Regular), Snickers, Skittles, Airheads, Sour Patch Kids, Kit Kats, Blow Pops, Chips (mixed variety -- potato chips, Doritos, etc.). Please bring donations to the main office on or before Wednesday, October 22.
