Fall Sports Pep Rally

Last Friday, the Student Council sponsored the Fall Pep Rally, highlighting each of the fall sports teams, the cheerleaders and the Dance program. Following the introduction of the fall teams, several teams of students played volleyball - and a team of faculty hung strong and nearly defeated their student opponents - losing by a single point. With the fall season now underway, everyone is encouraged to show their Lancer spirit in support of all of our athletic teams.

Campus Ministry News...
Campus Ministry Launches Mite Box Campaign
Campus Ministry is excited to announce the introduction of the Mite Box Campaign at Notre Dame. Every two weeks on Advisory Day, students from homerooms will compete against each other to raise money for various worthy organizations. This form of alms-giving allows students to "be an imitator of Christ" by being generous and aiding people both locally and across the globe. After every four collections, the winning homeroom will be given a prize. Our first mite box was in support of Bridgeport Rescue Mission's 30 Day Campaign to raise money to help feed and shelter residents of Bridgeport. ND raised $170.26.  The top three homerooms currently are Mrs. Morales in first, Mrs. Guarino in second, and Mr. Mildrum  in third.  Please encourage your children to be generous and if you wish to contribute feel free to send in a donation to the attention of Miss Medoff.  In honor of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, the next collection (October 1) will be for St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
