This Week at ND...
Save a Life Tour
The Save a Life Tour visited Notre Dame on Monday. This national touring event began with an assembly for the student body which included a powerful thirty five minute video telling four stories of families whose lives were permanently changed by a distracted driver. In each account, a person was texting while driving and caused fatal or paralyzing injuries to others. Following the assembly, juniors and seniors had the opportunity to try two distracted driving simulators - texting while driving and DUI. Students also signed a banner pledging to not text while driving. As a reminder, it is illegal in the state of Connecticut for anyone under the age of 18 to use a phone while driving - even a hands-free device. Thanks to the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation for providing the grant which made this presentation possible.
