Thank You...

... Thank you to all parents who helped with providing refreshments for Teacher Appreciation Day. The faculty and staff were very appreciative for all their treats. Special thanks to Kathy Stefanatos for coordinating the event.

... Thank you to everyone who attended and helped with the scrap booking event that was held last Saturday, January 25. We would also like to thank anyone who donated food or raffle prizes. The event was completely sold out and was a great success. We hope to be able to have another event soon. Stay tuned for more information.

Congratulations to...

... Matthew Lasky '14 who received the St. Thomas Aquinas Award from Bishop Frank Caggiano at the Diocese of Bridgeport's Breakfast of Champions on Thursday morning. Recipients of this award are selected based upon their academic excellence and for exemplifying the Gospel values we are called to in our Catholic faith through service to others and Christ-like behavior. Matt was joined by his parents, Mr. Cipriano, and Superintendent Sister Mary Grace Walsh.

... Michelle Onofrio '16, who recently led a collection during school lunches to help raise funds for her long-time music teacher who lost many of her possessions to a recent burst pipe and flood. With the help of friends collecting spare change, over $100 was donated and a thank you letter expressing "sincere and heart-felt appreciation for the kindness expressed by the student body" was recently received. Thank you to Michelle for demonstrating another great example of ND's Acts of Kindness.

This Week at ND...
Art & Nature Class Paints Rocks
Students in Mr. Testani's Art & Nature class were asked to choose a rock and create an animal from the shape of their rock. Once they had their idea, they painted and then glossed their rock. The rocks are on display in the library/media center and can also be viewed on their online gallery at  http://nd-art.tumblr.com/.
