Have a Target Red Card?

If you have a Target Red Card, you can designate Notre Dame to be the recipient of Target's donation of 1% of your annual purchases. All you need to do is link your card to Notre Dame, shop and use your Red Card at Target. It's that easy. In the summer, we received a check for $231.75 thanks to those who designated Notre Dame last school year. Click here to sign up for this program.

Notre Dame earned $876 in October & November thanks to the 161 people who registered their Stop and Shop cards as part of the A+ Rewards Program.
It's not too late to still do so ...

Help earn money for Notre Dame by registering your Stop and Shop card with the store's A+ School Rewards Program.
Click here to register your card today! You must re-register each year. Participation in this program does not affect gas points.

The response to the Care Club Christmas projects was tremendous. The Bridgeport Project for the Homeless received not only hoodies but coats, hats, shoes and many other articles of clothing. Sister Eileen Boffa is more than grateful. Also, our troops in Afghanistan will be receiving note pads, writing implements, toiletries, books and candy in conjunction with the Project From the Heart. A huge "Thank You and God Bless" to all who have made contributions.

Mid-Term Exams...
Students and parents are reminded that mid-term exams are right around the corner. Exams will be held from January 13-16. Friday, January 17 is an exam make-up day. Two exams will be given each day, except Thursday when one exam will be given. Exams are given in class order beginning with Period B. Mid-term exams count as 10% of the final course average and their importance is highly stressed. Teachers will review and provide review sheets after the Christmas break.
26 Acts of Kindness Campaign...
Last year, after the terrible tragedy in Newtown, the Notre Dame community paid tribute to the 26 victims with a 26 Acts of Kindness campaign. We designed a calendar with a different act of kindness for each school day over a several week period. We are thrilled that over 20 area schools - both Catholic and public - will be joining us in this campaign this year. Notre Dame's 26 Acts program began on Monday, December 16 and runs through the first week of February. Everyone is invited to participate. Click here to view this year's calendar.

Acts of Kindness for the week of December 30th
  • January 2 - Learn from your mistakes and move forward
  • January 3 - Collection taken during lunches to benefit the United Way Sandy Hook Elementary School Fund
This Week at ND...
Prayer Service Held
On Friday, December 13, the Notre Dame community gathered together as a family to remember and celebrate the lives of those who lost their lives in the Sandy Hook tragedy over a year ago.  A solemn occasion to be sure, but also one that was meant to inspire and encourage us. Through the gift of those lives of love and joy, we remembered the extended hands and heart of God's healing love and compassion in the world.  A very special thank you to the following students and faculty who helped make this ceremony a treasured time of graces and blessings for all present: Freshmen - Livia Silva, Andrew Fallon, Amanda Rodriguez, Celine Samrin and Jordan Crawford; Sophomores - Mackenzie Dobbins, Sal Emanuel, Jesse Macintosh, Eddie Schwartz, Geovanna Badaro and Raina Ceriak; Juniors - Patrice Lataure, David Henry, Jeanna Emanuel, CJ Davidson, Noah Cirisoli, Jonathan Suporn, Keith Quinde; Seniors - Shannon Williams, Jess Cannon, Collin Cegelka, Mark Karmormi, Megan Gless, Winston Crumb, Charlie Fallon, Sean Cronan and Lauren Berard.

A very special thank you to Ms. Miller, Mr. St Onge and Mr. Manzo for helping to coordinate the music, the pictures and the words given in testimony to those lives lost but never forgotten.

AIEP, a Connecticut-based homestay organization that works closely with Notre Dame, is seeking host families for Chinese students arriving in mid-January. Interested families would commit to hosting a student for 5 months until the end of the school year, and may host again for the following 2014-15 school year if interested.
