In the summer, we received a check for $231.75 thanks to those who designated Notre Dame last school year. Click here to sign up for this program.

Notre Dame earned over $450 in October thanks to the 153 people who registered their Stop and Shop cards as part of the A+ Rewards Program.
It's not too late to still do so ...

Help earn money for Notre Dame by registering your Stop and Shop card with the store's A+ School Rewards Program.
Click here to register your card today! You must re-register each year. Participation in this program does not affect gas points.

Veteran's Day Prayer Service
On Monday, Notre Dame remembered the sacrifices members of the armed forces have made to protect our democracy during our annual Veterans' Day Prayer Service in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit on the campus of Sacred Heart University. After Fr. Cipriani's homily, twelve members of the Notre Dame student body read over 75 names of Notre Dame alumni who served or are serving in the military. Special recognition was given to the five graduates who gave the ultimate sacrifice - four in Vietnam and one in Iraq. The school community was also privileged to welcome Steve Cavallo '65 and his wife Diane Parker Cavallo '65. Mr. Cavallo spoke about the value of his Notre Dame education and the experience he had as a nineteen year old teenager deployed to Vietnam in 1966. To read more about the prayer service and to see a list of all the graduates remembered on Monday, click here to view Mr. Cipriano's blog.

Once again we have partnered with Sister Theresa and the Daughters of Charity to help poor families in the greater Bridgeport area. This is an annual drive and we are very proud of our previous efforts. We are looking to collect at least 250 turkeys as well as other food items (click here to view the list of what is needed). It is a privilege to be able to help the poor and to help us live our motto: to be imitators of Christ. Please help us reach our goal and donate a frozen turkey - any size - on Thursday, November 21. If you have any questions please contact Miss Z or Mrs. Miller. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

The Care Club is collecting items for two different service projects. The first is a "Project From the Heart". We are asking each student to donate at least one item for our service people in Afghanistan from the lists posted in their homerooms. Boxes of supplies will be delivered in time for Christmas. Money donations for shipping costs are also gratefully accepted. If you would like a box sent to someone you know, please leave their address in the donation box located in the library.

The second project is with Sister Eileen Boffa and the Bridgeport Homeless Project. Sister is asking for donations of new or used "hoodies" (parkas). They can be left in the library. Any questions? Please contact Janet Haffner at Notre Dame and thank you for caring.
