Mass in Celebration of the Feast Day for Our Lady of Lourdes
On Monday, February 25, Mass in celebration of the Feast Day for Our Lady of Lourdes took place in the Chapel. The following teachers and their classes were in attendance for the spiritual festivities: Madame Zac, Dr. Callaghan, and Mr. St. Onge. A special thanks to Madame Zac for helping to coordinate the Liturgy, celebrated by Fr. Cipriani, with students who participated in the Mass which was partly done in French. It was a great opportunity to rediscover the beauty of the Blessed Virgin Mary's love for her children, especially through her amazing appearances to Saint Bernadette in Lourdes, France in 1856. One of the major themes of the Mass was the power of God's healing not only at miraculous Shrines like Lourdes famous for its healing waters, but anywhere we happen to pay a visit to Jesus. This happens when we walk through the door of prayer, or more specifically. our own blessed Chapel at Notre Dame. There was a;sp a small reception following the Mass. |

Care Club Sponsors Diaper Drive
Jewish Home Day Care Center Visit The Care Club's planned visit to the Jewish Home Day Care Center was postponed because of the blizzard. However, we were able to deliver on Valentine's Day, wonderful Valentines designed by Mr. Peter Philipp's students. We will make visits on March 11th and April 8th.
Diaper Drive for Caroline House We are now asking for your help in providing a very important necessity for Caroline House, an education center run by the School Sisters of Notre Dame. The center offers women, without regard to race, religion or ethnic background, tuition-free opportunities to learn English as a second language, basic computer and life skills. Their young children attend an on-site pre-school program while their mothers attend classes. This prepares the children for successful entry into English-only kindergartens. One of the greatest needs each day are--DIAPERS!!! We would appreciate donations of coupons, diapers or money. Checks can be made out to Caroline House and given to Mrs. Ezepchick in the office. Other offerings can be deposited in the library from March 11 to March 18. Thank you for caring.

The Key Club is beginning the drive to make Easter baskets for Sr. Theresa's
children. We are aiming to make 150 baskets. If anyone is able to donate chocolate eggs, chocolate Easter bunnies, jelly beans or any other items that we can put in the baskets, we would greatly appreciate it. We are in need of baskets or containers that could serve as Easter baskets as well as cellophane. We do have enough Easter grass, but we would be grateful for any donations. If anyone would rather buy a pre-made basket, we would also accept those. Easter is early this year so we request donations by March 18th. All donated items can be brought to Miss Z's room (102). Thank you for your generosity and helping us to make Easter brighter for children who might not get an Easter basket.
