Students Out in the Community
Winston Crumb '14 volunteered with the Connecticut Food Bank and the radio station Star 99.9 in one of their recent food drives on November 15 at Stop 'n Shop in Westport. Despite the cold temperatures and the early wake up call, Winston said was happy to have helped. He said, "it was all worth it". Service Through Campus Ministry
Several students participated in Campus Ministry's annual Rake and Bake service event on Saturday, November 17. The ND group traveled to Danbury to landscape the lawn of a disabled man who is a proud veteran of the Vietnam War. A special thanks to Kathy Stefanatos, Nancy Yellen and Jessica Medoff for assisting. Students that volunteered their time were: Evan Yiannoulis '13, Tyler Lehren '13, Mike King '13, Lauren Puskar '13, Katie Yellen '13, Steve Meyer '13, Lauren Berard '14, Morgan Sweeney '15, Becky Stefanatos '15 and Brandon Pavlik '13.

On Monday, November 19, Antonio Felipe '14, Briana Mann '14, Jaylen Jennings '14, Kristen Barrese '16 and Bryanna D'Arcangelo '16 helped bake apple pies with the special needs student group at Sacred Heart University. These pies will be distributed to various shelters and those in need within the Bridgeport area. A special thanks to Mrs. Ezepchick for assisting with the event. Jessica Clarke '13, Jennifer Mezzapelle '13, Kayleigh Spataj '13, Jessica Cannon '14, Hannah Spataj '15, Colleen O Reilly '14, Ashley Fulton '13 and Caitlyn Dudek '13 helped prepare and serve dinner at the newly opened shelter for Women's Veterans in Bridgeport on Monday, November 19. A very special thanks to Edwine Jean Jacques, mother of graduate Medjine Jean Jacques '12, who helped prepare a large portion of the delicious meal. |
ND Art Students Design Masks

Academic Banquet / Honor Society Inductions
Notre Dame's annual Academic Awards Banquet and Honor Society Inductions will take place on Thursday, November 29. Dinner will begin at 6:30 pm and the ceremony will begin at 7:30 pm. Invitations were recently mailed home and RSVPs were due to the main office by Tuesday, November 20.

Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors interested in applying for Notre Dame's 22nd annual service trip to Appalachia must complete an application no later than Friday, December 7. This summer's trip will be held from June 22 to 30 and the group will return to Neon, Kentucky. To obtain further details and a copy of the application, please click here.

Senior Experience Applications Due November 30th
Seniors interested in participating in Notre Dame's Senior Experience Program are reminded that applications are due no later than Friday, November 30. Participating students will spend their last four weeks of the school year in an internship or extensive community service program. Yearbooks Orders Now Being Taken
Families can now place orders for 2013 Yearbooks by clicking here and enter Notre Dame's order number: 14196. The cost to reserve a yearbooks is $75.

Boys' Basketball - Monday, November 26 at 2:15 pm - gym
Indoor Track - Monday, November 26 at 2:30 pm - meet in chapel lobby
Boys Hockey - Monday, November 26, meeting at 5:45 pm. Try-outs begin at 7 pm at the Milford Ice Pavilion
All student-athletes are reminded that they need an up-to-date physical as well as a parental consent form on file in order to try-out/practice.

HSA and Booster Club Events
Christmas Boutique
The Notre Dame HSA & Booster Club will be hosting a Christmas boutique on Wednesdays in December from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm in the Chapel Foyer. We hope you will come to browse our line of spirit wear along with other merchandise - all great for gift giving & stocking stuffing. Father Bill's famous barbecue sauce will also be available. Students are welcome to browse during their lunch periods.
Calling All Bakers
The ND HSA will host a Cookie Walk on Saturday, December 8. We are in need of baked goodies to be dropped off at school on Friday, December 7. We need your help to make this event a success. Wine Tasting Event Tickets on Sale
Tickets are now available for the Booster Club's Second Annual Wine Tasting Event on Saturday, December 1 from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm in the Notre Dame cafeteria. Each student-athlete is expected to sell (2) tickets to the event. Admission is $25 in advance and $35 at the door. Click here for more information. The Fairfield County Catholic newspaper is looking for high school-aged Catholic teens to write an article to be published in the Fairfield County Catholic Newspaper and the Diocese Youth Webpage. A different article will be published every month and there will be a $25 gift card for each article published. Email articles with photo to jmonroe@diobpt.org. College Planning Assistance Available
Bridgeport Public Library will once again host Holly Franquet from The College Place. Ms. Franquet will be available in the downtown library's first floor Teen Café on the following Tuesdays this fall from 3-5 pm to help answer your college questions: November 27 and December 11.
These drop in sessions will emphasize: searching for colleges, majors, and careers, discussing college affordability and financial aid, discussing high school courses, grades, and test scores, starting the application to college, writing essays, asking for recommendations, and more.
This program is free and open to all high school students and their parents. Seventh and eighth grade students are also welcome. It is never too early to be thinking about college!
