Dilemma!
Too many choices?...or too few!
There has always been the question of whether it's better to have a large selection of rings, 
or is it better to have less choices. 



Yes Choice! On one hand you 
need to look like you have a large 
selection and you don't want customers to leave because 
they don't see something I like. 

No Choice! On the other hand you know that too many choices can be overwhelming. It can mean that each item may be precieved as less special. Most importantly, when people have too many choices they just seem to shut off.

 










So 
what's the solution?

The solution is very simple. You just need to narrow as you go! You need to remove what has already been 
weeded out.
 In a study of chocolate bars people who had a choice of 30 chocolate bars we're LESS happy than people had a choice of 6 because they kept 2nd guessing their choice. 


HOWEVER, The people with 30 choices, who eliminated a bar from view after each choice, 
were much happier!
 
 
HOW DOES THIS APPLY TO 
YOU?
When you are showing diamond rings, make sure, 
once the customer eliminates a ring, get it the heck 
out of there! This will help the customer finalize their decision and be happier with
 the decision they make!
