WONDERFUL IDEAS FROM CRAZY FUN JEWELERS
Post your baby pictures on your website on the staff page. Have a photo booth in your store and let customers take pictures in your jewelry! This will help close sales and get people talking about your store. The pictures will end up on people's fridges, as all photo booth pictures do, and their friends will see it leading to a great word of mouth campaign.(I have been dying for some jeweler to try this. First jeweler to put a photo booth in their store gets a prize from me! I have found used photo booths for as low as $500)
Dress up in all the jewelry you possibly can fit on your body and post those pictures on your website, Pinterest, &Facebook.
Dress like pirates and have a gold buying party! (Great idea from Sami's Jewelers in Arizona) Have a fake protest where picketers march outside your store with signs about how terrific you are! (This wonderful crazy idea is from Instore magazine. The best Magazine in the world!)
BRAND YOURSELF
Wear a cowboy hat every day. Be the "Diamond cowboy". Wear tons of pearls and be the "goddess of pearls". Make a name tag that says diamond dude. Be fun and you will be remembered and shopped with.

It used to be easier to get people's attention.... but now there is just so much out there. We need to do MORE to capture people's attention.
SO WHAT CAN I DO?
Be more entertaining!
Start by making email subject lines to your customer more fun. Your email blast should not be. "April events at Johnston Jewelers." Instead try a subject line like, "Guess what we're doing?" Have a fun tag line and all your emails with it. Such as, "May your days be marry and bright and all of your diamonds be white!"
