PARENT VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED FOR ART ADVENTURE

What is ART ADVENTURE?
Art Adventure is an art appreciation program for grades 3 through 5 based on original paintings, sculpture, textiles and photographs from the collection at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. This year's theme is Cultural Reflections in Arts.

The Art Adventure program is a great foundation for discovering and understanding art through creativity, critical thinking and global awareness.

WHO DO WE NEED?
You! We need parent volunteers to teach a 40-minute art class over the students' lunch hour.

"BUT I'M NOT AN ARTIST..."
Don't know anything about art? That's okay. Free training is provided at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. You will learn all about art from different time periods, countries and cultures. This is an opportunity to expand not only your child's horizons, but yours as well. It's also a great way to volunteer with a minimal time commitment.

TIME COMMITMENT
Teaching40 minutes/month over lunch 2-3 times per school year. Volunteers will partner with another parent to teach each session.

Training2-3 hours total, with lots of training dates to choose from in September and October (morning and evening times)

WHEN
We need parent volunteers to continue offering this amazing program. Please email Lama Chebaclo at lbissar@yahoo.com with any questions. Thank you!
