Pick Up Your Medication
|
 Please remember to come to the Health office and retrieve your child's medicine before the end of the school year. As the weather warms up these last few days, please also remember to send your child to school with a water bottle. We want to keep the students well hydrated on these warm spring days.

Field Day Volunteers Still Needed!
|
FIELD DAY IS NEXT WEEK! PLEASE SIGN UP TO HELP!
We still need 44 Activity Volunteers to set up, clean up, or supervise the games. We also need 41 Classroom Escorts to stay with a class of children throughout the day. Yes, your math is right: this means we still need 85 total volunteers for next week's event. PLEASE sign up to help out!

On field day, please remember:
- Pack a bag lunch and beverage for each student
- Socks and athletic shoes are required
- Pack plenty of sunscreen
- Dress each student in the assigned color for their class:
K = Blue
1 = Black or White
2 = Red
3 = Yellow
4 = Green
Field day will be held on June 3rd, rain or shine, from 11:30am - 2:15pm. In case of inclement weather, the games will be held in the gymnasiums.

PTO Volunteers

 Help us get a head start for next year's PTO team!
First, a very big thank you to those who have signed up to help with the various volunteer roles for next year. We will be following up over the summer.
There are several volunteers asking for "shadows" next year - so there are many opportunities to learn the ropes with an experienced person before you take over. Baby steps are OK!
If you have questions about a volunteer position or are unsure of where we need the most help, contact Jen Haenel, Volunteer Coordinator.

School Supplies
|
Can you believe it's already to time to order 2016-17 school supplies? 
At Normandale, students are not given a school supply shopping list. Instead, we pay into the school supplies fund and then the PTO orders supplies in bulk. This saves parents time and money, reduces waste and promotes sharing as part of our school culture.
The supplies will be delivered to the classrooms the last week in July. In order to meet that timeline and minimize costs, we need payment from parents by June 30th.

Lost and Found Final Reminder
|
As the school year winds down, don't forget to check the Lost and Found for any missing items!
Items not picked up by the end of the school year will be donated to charity.

Summer French Story Time
|
Don't miss French Story Time this summer!
Normandale Teachers will be teaming up this summer to offer French Story Time at the Edina Public Library (5280 Grandview Sq).
Dates: June 13, 20 & 27 and July 11 & 18
Another opportunity for your children to use their French this summer will be provided by Jane Howe and Margaux Boyer (Edina High School, French Immersion, Juniors). They will also host a French Story Time, with activities, at the Edina Library.
Dates: June 9 & 30, July 7 & 28 and August 11 & 25 August 11 & 25

Book Donations

Thank you to the families who donated books to the Normandale Media Center in honor of their child's birthday!
 Participating in the Birthday Book program enables our library to stay fresh and alive with new and fabulous books for the kids to enjoy. Thanks to your continued support we were able to add over 50 additional Birthday Books to our circulation this year! If you are interested in participating in the Birthday Book Program next year, please contact Tracy Pearson, Media Specialist (952-848-4121). Merci!
