Current Normandale families with a child who will be kindergarten age by September 2016 should have already received the mailing from the district in the form of a 5-fold cardstock brochure with a pink Program Preference Form as one of the panels. Please remember that to receive "sibling preference" for Normandale, you must notify the district office by 6:00pm on January 11, 2016 using one of these options:
- You can tear the pink page off and mail it in. The mailing address is pre-printed for you. You will receive an email confirmation that it has been received.
- You can drop it off at the Student Enrollment Office on the first floor of the Edina Community Center.
- You can fill it out online. The web address is listed on the pink page. You will receive a message that your form has been submitted.
Information turned in after the deadline will be dated and numbered in the order received and placed at the end of the waitlist if a lottery is necessary. If you should have any questions about the process, please contact the Normandale office at 952-848-4100.

Coming Soon - Les Ambassadeurs de Normandale!
Les Ambassadeurs de Normandale (Normandale Ambassadors) is a leadership training program whose purpose is to offer leadership opportunities within the school structure to students in grades 4 and 5.
As part of Normandale's recess initiative, Out of School Time staff (Kids Club and Wise Guys) will work with Les Ambassadeurs several times per month during the student's lunch and recess. During these sessions, students will learn and practice skills like punctuality, follow through, problem solving, organizing, conflict resolution and helping others.
Les Ambassadeurs will focus their efforts on events and issues that are school specific. Examples include but are not limited to: lost and found, carnival, library helpers, bus buddies, and recess buddies.
This is a great opportunity for students to take a leadership role, have ownership of programs and actively carry out the concept of citizenship within the Normandale community.
