And what about the raffle baskets, you ask? We would love for every family to contribute a suggested donation of $10 per student for the fabulous raffle baskets we have to offer. This year we hope to earn enough money to raffle off Taylor Swift tickets, an XBox One, an iPad Mini, a gumball machine and many more items! It pays to donate early. Congratulations to Sarah Fjelstul and family! You are this week's early bird prize winner! Every person who donates to the raffle baskets by the end of the day TODAY is automatically entered into the special dinner and movie night out basket. But don't worry, if you don't get your money in by the end of the day on the 10th, we will still take donations up until the event. Thank you to the families who have donated already. We are on our way! If you haven't donated your $10 toward the purchase of amazing raffle items, please do so when you purchase your admission tickets online using the link above.
If you would like to donate physical items to the raffle, we would love that as well. Do you have tickets to sporting events? Do you have an awesome car that you would love to drive a kid to school in one day? Do you have anything a kid would love? We will take it! Simply contact Beth Kehoe or Lisa Ungerman.
This year we are thrilled to announce that Normandale Carnival T-shirts will be sold! They will be offered in sizes youth small through adult extra large. If you would like to pre-order your T-shirts, please click the link below. Shirts will also be available for purchase at the event. T-shirts will cost $15 each. Order your T-shirt here.
In order for the Carnival to be a total success, we need every family to volunteer their time to the event. There are time slots for setting up, running games, painting faces, selling food, handing out prizes, cleaning up and more. You can choose your time and event. If we don't have enough volunteers, we will have to cut down on games and events. No one wants that! Please sign up to volunteer here.
And, attention 5th Grade Families! The Carnival is your chance to recognize your graduating student with a special message in the Carnival brochure! Messages and payment are due Tuesday, April 14. For more information and to start the purchasing process, please click here.
Finally, do you own a business? Work for a business? Know anyone who does? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you probably need to advertise! The Carnival is your place to do just that. We are now selling ad space for the 2015 Carnival brochure. The brochure reaches over 600 Normandale families in our community and is a great place to promote local business. Plus, proceeds of sold ads go toward our event and our fantastic intern program. Please contact Tracy Schaeffer for details. Hurry though, the deadline for getting your ad in the brochure is April 15th!
We can't wait for all the Carnival fun. It is a great way to gather with friends, win amazing prizes and raise critical funds for our school and intern program. We so appreciate your generosity.
