Reading MCA:                               Wednesday, April 16 and Thursday, April 17

Math MCA:                                     Tuesday, April 22 and Wednesday, April 23

Science MCA (5th grade only):    Tuesday, April 29 and Wednesday, April 30

The students are well-prepared to put forth their best effort. Thanks for partnering with us by making sure your children arrive at school on time and well rested.

My door is always open,

Gerry Lukaska

Parents as Sexuality Educators

Sexuality can be a challenging topic for parents. Kris Shelley, parent educator, will teach us how to effectively navigate this topic. This event is free, and will be held at the Highlands Elementary School gymnasium.

  • Learn why parents should be their child's main sexuality educator.
  • Discover what information kids need to know at what age.
  • Get ideas on ways to answer questions.
  • Become a reliable resource for your child.

There will be handouts and suggested book list as well as an opportunity to ask questions.

Kris holds a degree in Psychology, a Masters degree in Family Education, as well as a teaching license for Parent and Family Education. She has been a parent educator with the Edina Family Center for over 15 years.
