Dear Normandale Families,
Thank you for all of your flexibility during this winter of unpredictable and unusual weather. The teachers and interns make a formidable team and have been great "going with the flow." This includes scheduling spring conferences outside of the school day since students will now be in attendance on March 7th.

Jump Rope for Heart
|
Did you know?
- A child's life span is predicted to be less than their parents because of the obesity epidemic
- Studies have shown that increased physical activity is linked to better school performance
Why Jump Rope for Heart?
- It's a fun activity to celebrate fitness and physical education.
- Donations collected will help promote healthier lives free of heart disease and stroke: #1 and #3 causes of death.
How can you help?
- Join in! Parents can volunteer to help out with their child's PE class February 26-28 (2nd day of PE that week) during the Jump for Heart days
- Encouragement! Every child participates in Jump Rope for Heart activities during PE.
- Donate! Students have received a donation envelope if they are interested in collecting from friends, family and local businesses.
- Register online! Register your child at www.heart.org/jump. Email friends and family for an easy way to collect donations online.
We think this is a valuable cause and community service project. It will only work with your support. If you have questions or would like to volunteer during the Jump Rope for Heart lesson, please call or email.
