Host Families NEEDED!!!!!
We've had Rally Week and Now We Need Families.
- Sign Up Deadline - Monday, February 24th is just around the corner.
- We still need 43 families to host next year.
- We only have 12 host families signed up.
- Invitations will only go out to the number of interns we can house.
- We currently can invite 5 interns for next year.
- That's not even one per grade level.
Consider whether you can welcome an intern into your home. Host families provide room and board for half the school year and must have a legal bedroom with an egress window.
Additional information can be found at www.edinainterns.org.

We have so many eager students ready to get started with Junior Great Books that we need more leaders! If you have a love of reading and one hour per week to lead a group from March to May, let's talk!
We especially need help in 4th and 5th grades.
Job sharing could be considered - please contact Jennifer Haenel for more information.

Carnival Committee - calling all volunteers!
|
Get More Connected with Normandale -- Carnival Committee Members Needed!
Our kids LOVE the carnival. It's the one thing they look forward to -- and remember-- from year to year. Plus, the proceeds help fund our award-winning intern program.
The best way to connect with other parents is to get involved. Here's your chance.
Lots of fun committees to get involved in: Raffle Baskets, Admissions, Staff Raffle, 5th Grade Messages, Food, Prize Redemption, Decorations, Volunteers, Apparel, and Advertising.
SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER! There's no carnival without volunteers!

Normandale Imagination Fair

Our annual Imagination Fair is an opportunity for Normandale students to showcase their experiments, inventions, or creations.

Online Project Registration: Feb 15 - Mar 1, 2014
Don't know where to start?
Projects don't have to be complicated! Let your child's imagination, creativity, and inventiveness guide you as you help your child explore whatever may interest him/her at this moment... nature, mechanics, art, technology, fashion, chemistry, photography, animals, weather, crafts, or any other hobbies.

Lunch Bunch!
|
"Lunch Bunch" A casual way to interact with peers for grades 1-5
I would like to offer students a chance to increase their socialization with other children in a casual, informal manner during their lunch/recess period. I have found that lunch/recess can sometimes be a stressful time for students because they may be going through a lull with some of their friends or don't exactly know how to connect with others.
My office is a cozy place for students to eat lunch, have some conversation, and relax. Social skills can be increased just by the opportunity to have shared time with others; some direct instruction by me may take place but the emphasis would be on students having fun and getting to know others. There would be no academic time lost.
If you are interested please contact me by phone or email,
