Incoming Kindergarten Sibling Preference for 2014
|
For current Normandale families with a child who will be kindergarten age by September 2014, please remember that to receive "sibling preference" for Normandale, you must notify the district office by 4:00 PM on January 13, 2014.
You should have already received your mailing from the district. Instead of an envelope this year, it is a 5-fold cardstock brochure with the "pink" Program Preference Form as one of the panels. There are different options this year for submitting your information. 1) You can tear this "pink" page off and mail it in. You will receive an email confirmation that it has been received. 2) You can drop it off at the Welcome Center on the first floor of the Edina Community Center. 3) You can fill it out online. The web address is listed on the pink page. You will receive a message that your form has been submitted.
Information turned in after the deadline will be numbered in the order received and placed at the end of the waitlist if a lottery is necessary.
If you should have any questions about the process, please contact the Normandale office at 952-848-4100.

This holiday season, we have a special opportunity for kids to raise money for charity while shopping for gifts for their loved ones. The Wohlford's basement will be transformed into a shopping wonderland and stocked with thousands of new, unique items. From candles to candy and trinkets and toys, there will be something for everyone. Adults also may shop for small treasures such as hostess gifts, teacher gifts, and more.
Shopping Hours
Thursday, Dec. 5th from 3 to 7 PM (special adult reception from 7 to 9 PM)
Saturday, Dec. 7th from 9 AM to 2 PM (donuts, coffee and hot cocoa Sat. morning)
Location
Wohlford Residence
4519 Edina Blvd
952-928-0813
All new items are priced at $10 and less. Items were purchased at significant discount (70 to 90% off of retail) and marked up slightly so the saving can be passed onto our shoppers! Come check out the variety of jewelry, picture frames, ornaments, stuffed animals, stocking stuffers, hostess gifts, teacher gifts and more. Profits from the Charity Holiday Boutique will benefit the Edina French Intern program and the Edina Education Fund. Join us, and bring a friend!

Fundraiser A Huge Success!
|
PINSTRIPES ADULT FUNDRAISER - WHAT A SUCCESS!
A huge thank you to those who were able to attend the French Connections Adult Fundraiser on Saturday night! Not only did we draw a record crowd, we set a new record in terms of money raised. We could not have done it without the generosity of so many families who help make this event a reality through their donations and sharing of their time and talents. What a great community we belong to!
FEEL INSPIRED TO GET INVOLVED?
We can always use volunteers - no time commitment is too small. Volunteer opportunities range from working the bottle bonanza table for an hour the night of the event to leading the solicitation efforts. Perhaps you are very technologically savvy? Managing the check-out process is perfect for you. Maybe you like to lead a team - chairing the silent auction committee would be a great fit. Any help is appreciated! If you would like to get involved in planning next year's event, please contact Karen Epple.
|
Thank You, Volunteers!
|
The visio n and hearing screenings could not have happened without you! Thumbs up, three cheers, and big thanks go out to all the volunteers who helped on these two crucial days and made it such a success.
