This week's survey

Last week's survey results...

Is there a low-cost, no-contract way to collect unpaid monies, that doesn't cost more than the value of the invoice itself?

  • YES and YOU EVEN GET 100% PLUS INTEREST !
its called a liquid statement of claim. You do it at your local courthouse and it cant be transferred from where its lodged. it will cost you about $120 but that goes onto the defendants bill. you get about 10% interest from time invoice due. they get 28 days to either pay or tell the judge why they shouldn't.if they dont show you get automatic judgement. you also get interest if you win on the 28days. you dont need a solicitor etc. this is the haevy tool the debt collectors use.
2 things to watch for -if the debtor is bankrupt or on a pension (Andrew, Gold N Tint)
  • You can do debt recovery via the local courts yourself. It's low cost, but takes time. The court fee is added to the amount unpaid. Have to deliver the court documents to the registered business address of the entity that hasn't paid - which may be different from the operating address. If the debt remains unpaid after the time allowed for payment (28 days or 30 days?), you can then request the sheriff attend the address and seize assets, which will then be sold with the proceeds used to pay the debt.

(As a publishing practice to protect ourselves from any potential liability, company and individual names that are referred to negatively in any of these comments are removed.

Smile: It's only Monday!

A recent article in the West Australian newspaper reported that a woman, Mrs. Maynard, has sued a Perth Hospital, saying that after her husband had surgery there he lost all interest in sex.

A hospital spokesman replied: "Mr. Maynard was admitted for cataract surgery.
All we did was correct his eyesight.
