Last week's survey results...

If you re using social media to promote your business, do you think the benefits are worth all the time and effort it takes to keep it updated and current.

  • Short answer no. Long answer - if you can choose carefully one or two platforms that really work for you, and you are fairly proficient in using these platforms, then yes. 

  • No - Waste of time

  • Yes as it is an quick and economical way to reach your audience

  • No, but I'm afraid to stop! Whilst the value makes sense for restaurants and other B2C businesses I'm not convinced it has any profound impact on a B2B print business.

  • We deal mainly business-to-business so I don't think social media is a very effective form of marketing to reach our clients. Our time is better invested prospecting directly

  • When selling to other businesses, socal media is a wast of time. If you are selling consumer goods, maybe, but not for us.

  • No.

  • Tried it and tried to get it to wor for us but nothing came of it that we could tell.

  • I know some of my peers really believe in using social media but frankly our attemtps have been a waste of time.

  • Tried it and never again.

  • An unknown response, I am sure some people have seen our Facebook page but who knows if they are the right type of person to react to our message.

Differences between Grandfathers and Grandmothers.
A man, who worked away from home all week, always made a special effort with his family on the weekends. 
Every Sunday morning he would take his 7-year old granddaughter out for a drive in the car for some bonding time. Just he and his granddaughter.
One particular Sunday however, he had a bad cold and really didn't feel like being up at all. Luckily, his wife came to the rescue and said that she would take their granddaughter out. 
When they returned, the little girl anxiously ran upstairs to see her grandfather. 
Well, did you enjoy your ride with grandma?' 'Oh yes, Grandad' the girl replied, 'and do you know what? We didn't see a single stupid bugger, arsehole or bloody idiot anywhere we went today!'
