Last week's survey results...

What would you like to see more of at the VI shows in future?  

 

  • More Sublimation and demonstrations over the days the event runs - I was unable to get there on day one and found that most everything I wanted to do was held on that day  

  • The basis of printing is materials to print on. It would be great to see more manufacturers and distributors exhibiting. This applies to papers and other print materials (at PacPrint etc: and including VI Shows) as well as vinyls and other wideformat materials that are essential to our industry. 
  • Saturday or Sunday Sessions 
  • 1. Would like to see a visual presentation of the sign award competitors and then the winners.
    2. LED manufacturing workshop. Simple LED letters etc
    3. A Business Development Lecture to help smaller operators to manage and market
    their business
    4. A Round Table Network area x 6- 8 Round Tables each headed up by a top sign maker each with different recognised skills
    5. Direct marketing to large corporate companies who buy lots of signs and graphics. Open up VI as it used to be.     
  • I would like to see the show moved around the country. It's OK for the Sydney folk or perhaps the Gold Coast people but people in WA or SA have exhorbitant costs associated with attending the existing shows and it is just not right. VI and ASGA are supposed to be representing all of us with these shows. I understand the commercial reality of putting on a show in one of the smaller centres but think outside the square and come up with a solution please. Maybe we can pay to enter the show if it was in Perth for instance, that extra money could make it viable or even profitable.
  • A weekend would be essential if they want to increase attendance.
  • More wide format printing please, just love to see all these machines in action, especially the big machines. Maybe I will buy one, one day.
  • Perhaps drop it from every year to once every two years to tie in with the big print shows. I know some of my buddies agree with this - every year is a too much.

The voluptuous organist reluctantly agreed to try it.
The following Sunday morning the minister walked up to the pulpit and said, "Dew to thircumsthanthis bewond my contwol, we will not hab a thermion tewday".
