Last week's survey results...

If you visited the VI show last week, what was the highlight for you? 

 

  • Finding out that the local Olympic Park pub had White Rabbit Dark Ale on tap. 

  • The car wrap competition was very interesting.
  • Some great toys on show however no point owning one if you dont have the orders coming in. Too many times I see businesses sending (back of envelope) quotes to clients and then never following them up. Have even witnessed a supplier asking the client wanting to place an order how much had he quoted for the job. Sure there are the larger quoting software solutions however the one that got me was from John Hadfield of Controlzone fame. A $15 per month (understand he is even offering a free trial period), simple solution allowing you to knock up professional looking quotes and that travel with you on your phone so you can track and follow up quotes from anywhere, surely has to be a winner.
  • It was a great improvement from last years show which was a total disappointment, a good cross reference of products and suppliers still a long way to go from the trade shows of the past.
  • The highlight for me was all the new suppliers with new products and services which shows that the market is maturing and growing. Of particular interest was that new insurance company who have an outstanding insurance package. I heard that they have been the main insurance group for the Sign A Rama group for years. Sear & Ass I think.
  • HP are looking good, one has to wonder how many of those Latex machines are being sold and how they compare to the other big names.
  • The big truck on the Art & Soul stand - gee what a whopper.
  • I see the Chinese are moving into our local shows more and more - particularly with their LED light shows.
  • Good show all round but difficult to pin point any highlights.
  • Wrapping.

An Italian, a Frenchman, and an Englishman were talking about screams of passion.
The Italian said:

The Frenchman said:

The Italian and Frenchman, astonished, asked, "Two full hours?
wow! That's phenomenal. How did you do it to make her scream for two hours?"
The Englishman replied:
"I wiped my hands on the curtains"...
