Lenten Study
Love is an Orientation
Sundays, February 14, 21, 28,
March 6, 13 and 20

10:15 am
Church Conference Room

Much of today's culture defines bridge building and reconciliation as a one-way street that leads to full theological, political and social agreement. Yet Christ demonstrated a different path of religious and cultural engagement to establish His kingdom here on earth. In light of such counter-cultural principles, the Christian community needs a new view on the issues that divide many Christ-followers, and the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) communities. Rather than avoiding the topic of homosexuality, Love Is an Orientation aims to equip the Christian community to bridge the gap between LGBT and religious communities. This is not a group study about "fixing" gay people. It's about getting to know them, engaging them, and loving them like Jesus does.

Are you in the process of discerning where you stand on this issue? Come and join the conversation. For more information, click here to contact Marla Fuller

UMW Cancelled Postage Stamp Collection

Just a reminder to save those cancelled stamps.  A new box has been placed in the atrium to collect them. Please do not steam the stamps off of the envelope, just cut around them, leaving about 1/4 inch around each stamp. Thanks for your contribution to this UMW fundraising project.

A Note of Thanks from Our Daily Rest
A special word of thanks to those of you who came to the aid of the family who was able to graduate from the Our Daily Rest program and move into housing this past weekend. Several Saint Mark families generously provided the items needed for them to move into their new (to them) home, and they were most appreciative. Lauren Richardson, a member of Saint Mark, is the executive director of Our Daily Rest.
