Our new Contemporary Perennial Garden (CPG) was established last year.  With community help, 4,000 plants consisting of 40 species of grasses, sedges and perennials covering 14,000 square feet were planted.  It will take three years for this garden to establish itself enough to choke out weeds and need minimal maintenance.  Until then, we need help with weeding so the plants have no competition and thrive.  We are planning a Volunteer Weeding Day for the CPG garden on Saturday, July 9th from 9am - 12pm.  If you can spare any time to help us pull weeds, we would greatly appreciate the help.  Right now the garden is overgrown and needs lots of attention.
