DOWN PEONY LANE  w/ Roy Klehm

TONIGHT in the Visitor Center Gallery Room
Wednesday, June 1st
6:30pm - 8:00pm

Roy will cover all gardening aspects of Woody and Herbaceous Peonies and also the Intersectionals {Itohs}.

Roy and his brothers Arnold and Carl Jr. {Chuck} donated their Rockford Nursery ground (Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden) in the early 1980s to the Winnebago Forrest Preserve District. It was Chuck's idea and original push to establish this property as an arboretum. The property had numerous large and unusual plant specimens on it's grounds so it was a good fit.

Roy is currently Vice President of Klehm's Song Sparrow Farm and Nursery in Avalon, WI. and Beaver Creek wholesale nursery in Poplar Grove, IL. He has been a horticulturist his entire career and was awarded The Perennial Plant Association's "Award of Merit". This is given on an international basis to a single person per annum.

Members: Free
