ROCKFORD, IL - Klehm Arboretum is excited to announce that this year's spring luncheon, BOTANICA, is scheduled for Friday, April 8th, on site at the Klehm Visitor Center/Gallery. This year is the 22nd consecutive running of this popular spring event. Key Note Speaker Leslie Goddard will portray Rachel Carson, scientist and author, whose book "Silent Spring" started the environmentalist movement of the early 1960's.

Earlier in the day, a workshop will feature Brandi and Charles DuCharme (The Olive Oil Experience) as they demonstrate some of their favorite healthy eating recipes and talk about the benefits of extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. A champagne bar social hour with music by Jody Beach follows with a three course spring lunch provided by Greenfire.
