Botanica Luncheon Speakers Named

ROCKFORD, IL - On Wednesday, April 15th, 10am - 2pm, help us welcome spring at Botanica 2015! This year's luncheon will feature speaker Melinda Myers, a nationally renowned gardening expert and author specializing in Midwestern gardening. Melinda will give a presentation on garden renewal. She will explain how to transform an empty lot into a beautiful landscape or an overgrown struggling garden into a colorful centerpiece and how much easier and more affordable it is than you think. She explores how to start with a plan, recycle items into garden art, add planters and feeders, share a few plants and phase in changes.  Before the luncheon Kathryn Newman, owner of MiniatureGardenShoppe.com, will present a demonstration on small-scale design entitled "Gardening in Miniature".  Luncheon is $50.  Luncheon and Workshop is $75.  For more information, please contact Sarah Lambert at 815-965-8146.  Botanica is a Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden fundraiser.
