Family Days Begin This Weekend

This weekend, your family is invited to engage with nature at Klehm. On Saturday, discover the difference between evergreen and deciduous conifers. Families can check out a "Cones Galore" backpack tour and when they return, kids can make pine cone bird feeders.
Family Days: December 8, 2012 through April 13, 2013
On the second Saturday of each month, Klehm will offer themed activities for kids of all ages. Your family will find fun ways to learn about nature outdoors through hikes, scavenger hunts and guided tours.
After some exploring, warm up in the Visitors Center Gallery with hot drinks and cookies. Kids can continue learning by making a take home craft. Plus, everyone will enjoy watching birds as they come to feed just outside the Visitor Center Gallery windows. Visit klehm.org or call (815) 965-8146 for more information.
